CHHA's are required to complete continuing education credits (CEC) every year. New Jersey requires Certified Home Health Aides to complete 12 Continuing Education Units (CEU) annually. Completing the CHHA Training course satisfies your CEU requirements for your first year. Once you are employed as a CHHA your employer must offer you In-Service training to allow you to maintain your certification. Sunlight Care use the services of Employee Support Services' (ESS) STARR portal to provide Inservice training for all its employees. This site will allow you to upload all your training credits certificates so you can provide them to your employers. This is very useful if you have multiple employers.
